Dove gray and drippy skies could not stop us.\u00a0 It\u2019s a stay-at-home weekend but I wanted at least a walk in the woods.\u00a0 So we headed into our forest.\u00a0 The colors this fall have amazed us.\u00a0 Such a mixed variety of trees and shrubs means nearly every day brings a change.\u00a0 We\u2019ve been watching the transformations for 2 months and it\u2019s not over.<\/p>\n

We kept heading uphill until there was no more up to be had.\u00a0 Then we circled (by mistake) the top.\u00a0 As we found our path homeward, we heard it.\u00a0 Across a valley from the next hillside:\u00a0 a gently played alpenhorn.\u00a0 With its quiet music accompanying us, we made our way down. It was like a gnome-home, fairy-forest landscape with the perfect Swiss soundtrack.<\/p>\n

Just for contrast, as we passed a\u00a0shop near our apartment, we heard Hank Williams singing \u201cMove It On Over\u201d.\u00a0 Such a small world.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
